Kettering Super Charging Hub A14

Project Summary:

Sinewave were engaged by The Electric Vehicle Network to carry out the design, installation and commissioning of their Kettering Super Hub, that will be operated by BP Pulse. The site consisted of the design and delivery of all 11kV contestable works under our NERS accreditation, along with the full design and build of the private infrastructure under BS7671. The project had incredibly tight deadlines; from install spades in the ground, the project was delivered in a rapid 12-week programme with an energisation just before Christmas on 23rd December 2022!

Overview of works:

  • Full design of the contestable and private works under BS7671

  • Turnkey installation of 3MVA supply

  • National Grid Electricity Distribution point of connection

  • Installation of HV Metered connection

  • 2 private substation installations

  • 2 Low Voltage Smart Feeder Pillar installs

  • Installation of 10 HYC 300kW Chargers with 20 bays of charging

From a customer perspective, Sinewave were a pleasure to work with on this project.

A project of this scale does not get completed in the timescales without good people. Sinewave is full of those good people, despite some horrible weather conditions and temperatures way below freezing the teams were on site, working hard, to get this job done.

This really outlines the desire to get sites operational and to support us as their customer. We already have further projects lined up with Sinewave and we can’t wait to continue growing this partnership.
