InstaVolt appoint Sinewave as ICP of choice for biggest collaboration to date
For nearly a decade of partnership, Sinewave & InstaVolt have joined forces on multiple projects. Together, we have delivered firsts, flagships, and impressive feats across the UK’s EV charging infrastructure.
Our next exciting undertaking is the Chicklade hub. Located twenty minutes from Stonehenge within the Fonthill Estate, the former fuel station turns a charging hub into a community hotspot for drivers. Landscaped rest areas blend into the surrounding countryside, while on-site solar and battery storage strengthen the site’s resilience and reduce grid demand.

InstaVolt will provide a major boost to EV charging infrastructure in both Chicklade and the South West.
But the Chicklade hub is more than a site for EV chargers, it’s a community touchpoint, featuring an on-site café and provisions including a butchers, bakery and deli; along with a footpath connecting the site to Chicklade village. By creating the surrounding amenities and making it a pleasant place to visit, the Chicklade hub provides drivers with a holistic respite beyond the traditional charging experience.
Once energised, sites like this continue the vision of what EV infrastructure will look like as the UK heads towards greener transport. At Sinewave, we’re delighted to be involved in this key project.

Testimonials
“We’re delighted to be working with Sinewave and the wider project team to bring this exciting EV hub to fruition. Chicklade represents the future of charging infrastructure, combining ultra-rapid EV charging with high-quality amenities and sustainable energy solutions that benefit both drivers and the local community.
It’s a fantastic example of how charging hubs can be thoughtfully integrated into local areas, creating destinations that offer far more than just a place to charge. Through strong partnerships and a shared vision, we’re helping to shape the future of EV charging in the UK.”
“We’re over 8 years into a strong working relationship between Sinewave & InstaVolt, and this is another example that we’re a great team. I can’t wait to see this site live; it’s a special one that will shape the way we integrate charging into communal living over the coming years.”
