For many years we have received positive feedback, attracted and retained high quality people, but for us that wasn't enough. We want to be leaders in the market, disrupting 'the norm' and leading the industry, especially when it comes to our people. So we proactively reviewed our packages, benchmarked the industry and added or improved the below to our already compelling package.
Sinewave now offers an enhanced pension package now matching employee contributions to 5% of salary instead of the standard 3%. This rewards members of our team that choose to plan for their longer term future in a way that continues to increase as their role develops and their remuneration increases.
An opt in option for all our team now is a private medical package allowing access to the best facilities and healthcare on offer. We've elected to keep this as an opt in option as this is a 'benefit in kind' so it does carry a tax implication but Sinewave provide this option at no charge for all our team
EV Vehicle Incentive
Many of our colleagues have a role with a car allowance or company vehicle. We are increasing their existing allowance by up to 33% should they wish to opt in to a company provided EV. This is important to us as we want to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible, and being able to combine this with an employee benefit is awesome.
We are also offering salary sacrifice which will allow our team to top up the increased contribution even further from their monthly salary, before tax meaning additional contributions are greater than the cost in the employees net pay.
Death in service is a subject none of use like to discuss but we felt it important to provide some security for the loved ones of our team in the worst case. Sinewave now provides a 4x salary DIS policy to nominated family members to provide a financial buffer to help ease some pressure in what would be the worst time imaginable.
We also worked with a third party organisation to create a bespoke online platform allowing us to recognise and reward colleagues for their hard work, improve our day to day communication and open up thousands of offers from retailers to our team. The platform also supports blogging and story telling internally and promotes engagement from the whole team online through a website or app.
These benefits were all presented to the team at our September stand down day proactively as we continue to live to our values, recognising and rewarding #TeamSinewave for their hard work, and welcoming newer members of the team.
