The Gammaton project demonstrates our full turnkey capability in action.

Delivering this 132kV connection required navigating complex DNO interfaces and challenging terrain. It’s a prime example of the Sinewave standard where technical excellence meets our commitment to people and planet. We successfully took the project from the first concept through to final energisation.

Gammaton

Our Client

Sonnedix is a global renewable energy producer with a pipeline exceeding 6GW. They develop, own and operate assets for their full lifecycle. That long-term approach aligns perfectly with our values at Sinewave. We engineered this high-voltage connection to ensure decades of reliable performance, directly supporting their mission.

As one of the most established names in the renewables sector, Sonnedix continues to set the benchmark for what responsible and scalable energy looks like. We are proud to work alongside them to help make that future a reality.

Scope of works

Design and Engineering

Development of a fully adoptable and private network design for the 132kV connection

  • Delivery of required network and compliance studies including G99, fault level, protection coordination, harmonic, voltage fluctuation and voltage unbalance studies

  • Detailed 132kV and site-wide earthing design and earthing studies

  • Electrical design submissions and technical engagement with the Distribution Network Operator (DNO)

Procurement and Equipment

Specification and procurement support for long lead high voltage plant and equipment

  • Coordination of delivery for transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, protection panels, cables, sealing ends and auxiliary systems

  • Factory acceptance testing support for major plant, including the 132kV transformer

Civil Engineering and Construction
