EV Charger for InstaVolt - Corley Services

Background

InstaVolt, a leading provider of EV charging infrastructure in the UK, partnered with Welcome Break to install EV charging units at Corley Northbound and Southbound M6 service stations. Sinewave supported InstaVolt as principal contractor completing the on-site installation.

  • 15 x 50kW Rapid Chargers
  • Directionally drilled under the service station roads for the point of connections

  • 100 + metres of trench work and cable installation
  • Concrete bases and all relevant infrastructure
  • All street furniture within the site
  • Creation of 15 new car-parking bays

Solution

Serving as delivery partner at Corley Services Northbound & Southbound M6 allowed Sinewave to assume overall reasonability for the full project. To avoid disruption to the busy Welcome Break service station, Sinewave utilised directional drilling techniques to avoid road closures. The site remained open and functioning normally over the full construction period. Sinewave completed all work ahead of schedule and on budget, then performed a seamless client handover.

InstaVolt’s charging network continues to grow. Corley Services Northbound & Southbound M6 becomes one of the largest service station charging locations in the UK. And, the goal of improving accessibility to charging locations moves closer to reality.
